The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Orrcon Steel business in our Salisbury team as a Night Shift Logistics Operator. Orrcon Steel is a manufacturer of steel tube and pipe and leading Australian steel distributor with nationally recognised brands. 

Working in our warehousing distribution centre, our Night Shift Logistics Operators are responsible for ensuring that our products are safely loaded and unloaded for transportation to our customers. In this varied position, you will also be responsible for other aspects of our supply chain logistics including administration, coordination and planning.  

No previous experience in warehousing or operations is necessary as you will receive ongoing training and support to learn all aspects of the role allowing for future career development opportunities.

You will enjoy a great lifestyle with the static roster of 6.00pm to 3.00am Monday Friday, and a 30% loading on your base salary.

What Will You Do?

Whilst ensuring the safety of yourself and your co-workers, you will:

• prepare, configure and calculating the correct product loads to maximise vehicle capacity  
• use radio frequency scanners to pick shipments and maintain accurate inventory levels
• despatch customer orders as per the delivery schedule
• load and unload trucks using a gantry crane and mobile equipment
• observe correct loading processes to ensure the quality of product is maintained during transport
