As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products Portfolio, we have four major manufacturing sites at Western Port which operate 24 x 7 and deliver a variety of products, innovative solutions and services to export and domestic customers.

With us, a career in Human Resources is both varied and professionally challenging.  You’ll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise in a wide range of people activities as a subject matter expert.  Partnering closely with business teams, you’ll share specialist advice and focus on coaching leaders in the ‘how-to’, strengthening and developing the capability of our people. 

Working closely with and providing support to the Manager, People, no two days will be the same in this key people role, working with our friendly teams at the Hastings location. 

What Will You Do?

Using your superior stakeholder engagement to build rapport and nurture relationships, you’ll

  • lead and guide your portfolio in HR related support activities – workforce planning, employee relations and basic employment law, learning and organisational development, and compensation
  • proactively engage with others, developing internal networks and leveraging these to deliver outcomes
  • be future focussed and seek to improve or update our approaches regarding HR and people capability.
  • champion our diversity and inclusion strategy and execution of our people objectives
  • support the business with key HR metrics and provide analytical insight and process improvement on reporting practices

More About You

As an HR professional who has experience dealing with people matters at strategic and operational levels, you’ll bring:

  • degree qualification in a HR or Business discipline
  • experience working with unionised workforces and EA covered employees
  • an ability to influence and manage stakeholder relationships
  • a dedication to achieving business outcomes
  • an enthusiasm to learn and understand the business
