The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Automation team as a DevOps Engineer (SYSADMIN) in our Information Technology function. Information Technology at BlueScope have embarked on an exciting enterprise technology transformation, supporting our business and customers now and for the future.

The role of the DevOps System Administrator is to support the business in delivering modern integration technology and services as we transform to a modern, hybrid cloud-based Azure integration. In this business-critical role, you will work in a diverse and complex integration landscape across the business and have opportunity to make a significant contribution to our DevOps capability.

This role can be based in Wollongong NSW or Mount Waverley VIC.

What Will You Do?

You will partner with the business to understand operational needs and collaborate across the IT function to translate customer needs into Integration requirements.  You will:

• Support the development and improvement of the DevOps practice
• Provide key support in the standardisation across systems that will improve quality and velocity
• Provide guidance to stakeholders through project lifecycles with key focus on design, development, testing, deployment support and monitoring activities
• Manage the DevOps processes and toolsets to enhance efficiency
• Govern all system documentation including solution design, processes, work instructions, test documents

More About You

With your extensive knowledge of DevOps and Microsoft Azure iPaaS you will also have experience with:

• Automated and Test-driven development practices
• Azure Monitoring – App Insights, Log Analytics
• Cloud Integration technologies
• Microsoft Azure technology stack and products – DevOps, CI/CD, Azure Cloud services
• Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts including REST-ful and SOAP based services
• Configuration Management
