Come and discover the opportunity to join our BlueScope Distribution business in our NSW Customer Service Team in our Newcastle sales office. BlueScope Distribution is a provider of single-source product, processing and service solutions in steel and aluminum. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification.  BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best. What Will You Do?

Reporting to the Customer Service Supervisor and working with your team members, you will be a key contact for sales and service enquiries received via phone and email. This will see you: 

  • negotiate pricing directly when dealing with customers
  • follow up customer quotes, deliveries and product supply levels
  • process customer orders in SAP via phone and email
  • work closely with the Sales Team regarding customer solutions
  • manage internal and external relationships

More About You

You will have a positive attitude combined with an eagerness to learn and provide exceptional customer experience. In addition, it would be advantageous to have the following experience and attributes: 

  • previous experience in a busy customer service or internal sales environment
  • effective communication and time management skills
  • ability to problem solve and develop solutions 
  • demonstrated computer competency with SAP and MS Office 
  • ability to work independently and in a team
