The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Campberfield team in our BlueScope Building Components business as a Customer Service Officer. This role will be on a 12-month fixed term contract. BlueScope Building Components, a division of BlueScope in Australia, manufactures and markets steel building products, solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght, Fielders, Ranbuild and Kiteleys. What Will You Do?

This role will interact with branch customers, manage relationships with external and internal customers as well as “represent” the face of the business.

Your role will primarily

  • maintain and Manage internal and external relationships and customers
  • create sales opportunities through passive and proactive selling
  • process customers’ orders and communicate customer requirements accordingly
  • assist to ensure efficient and effective processes and procedures are implemented and maintained; and
  • ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner and systems updated accordingly

More About You

This role is ideal for someone keen to further their career in customer service or sales within the manufacturing sector. To compliment your experience, you will have 

  • a willingness to learn and show initiative
  • strong problem solving, interpersonal and time management skills
  • accuracy and high level of attention to detail
  • excellent verbal and written skills; and
  • intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office
