The Opportunity

Come and discover the opportunity to join our Information Technology team as a Product Owner for Emerging Technology. Information Technology at BlueScope have embarked on an exciting enterprise technology transformation, supporting our business and customers now and for the future.

The role of the Product Owner – Emerging Technology is to guide the business in investigating, understanding and implementing new and emerging technologies to support our business into the future. You will partner with the business to understand operational needs and collaborate across the IT function to provide innovative solutions, services and processes that can be developed and implemented across the business.

This role can be based in Wollongong NSW or Mount Waverley VIC.

What Will You Do?

Being the subject matter expert of emerging technology, you will:

• Lead the development of Emerging Technology Roadmaps and budgets to ensure innovation projects are planned and scheduled in line with IT Strategies.
• Manage multiple service providers and work closely with the broader IT Team to introduce new technologies
• Lead the rapid development of prototypes and develop these into full-service offerings
• Develop and maintain a technology awareness program, enabling you to advocate, and inspire adoption of emerging technologies and innovation

With your technical advocacy background and extensive knowledge of the IT landscape, you will have:

• Successfully delivered IT projects
• Developed and managed budgets
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills
• A proven track record in driving innovation
• Extensive understanding of market trends and new technologies
• Experience in strategic technology planning
