Job Description

The Metal Coated Department manufactures and supplies metal coated products for building, pre-painted and distribution and manufacturing applications.

We are looking for a Process and Product Leader to join our Metal Coated Department in Port Kembla, NSW.

As an integral member of the team, the Process and Product Leader is responsible for providing technical support to all lines and services, by monitoring product quality and output on shift, and ensuring customer requirements are met.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the quality product is made in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner;
  • Coordinating development strategies for improved process control;
  • Managing non-conforming product for re-classing and disposal;
  • Supporting management during MCL change initiatives; and
  • Resolving production issues in a timely manner.

The role will see you work closely with operators and other Process Leaders to manage product output. The role is a stepping stone to future managerial positions within our organisation.

Who are we looking for?

You will hold tertiary qualifications in Science or Engineering disciplines, and have gained experience working in a processing/manufacturing environment.

You will be a results driven individual with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. You can work well under pressure and make decisions in a timely manner. Your strong focus on quality, continuous improvement, and exceptional interpersonal skills will ensure your success in this role.
