Job Description

The Mechanical Tradesperson will join the No.3 Paintline Mechanical Maintenance team as a key member of the BlueScope ASP Manufacturing team at Springhill.  In this role, you will ensure that equipment is maintained at the required specifications to meet business requirements of safety, quality and availability.

You will be required to perform maintenance and isolation of equipment, raise work orders and obtain store stock as required. You will also be involved in inspecting quality critical equipment, fault finding,  fixing any non-conformances and improving maintenance strategies.

Who are we looking for?

As the successful candidate, you will have a strong technical background and the ability to achieve outcomes through the application of skill and knowledge.

Additional requirements include:

  • Graded Trade level 3 or level 4 qualifications as a minimum;    
  • An understanding of & commitment to following safety procedures;
  • A thorough understanding of  process line equipment Including PLC’s;
  • SAP & PC Skills including Microsoft Office & Events System data entry;
  • Ability to fault find basic mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic equipment and process line automation; and
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a manufacturing team.

You will also be required to satisfy all induction requirements.

 

 What are the benefits?

This is a 12 month fixed term wages position. Main duties will be performed on a 8hr dayshift basis (38hr week/1 roster day per month), regular overtime & call outs to support continuous operations are a requirement of this position.
