Job Description

Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will support the BlueScope Distribution Marketing and Innovation team by contributing to and supporting the successful planning and execution of the marketing strategy.   As a key member of the team, you will assist with day to day marketing activities and coordinate key projects, whilst working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to roll out tactical marketing campaigns. 

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Support information gathering as part of the marketing planning and measurement process including extracting data and information from organisational systems;
  • Work collaboratively cross-functionally to meet customer needs and deliver consistent customer experience;
  • Assist with coordinated marketing programs including developing, publishing and managing content through social media and traditional media channels;
  • Maintain internal databases of contacts for targeted promotions and communication strategies including events and digital marketing campaigns;
  • Assist with the development production of marketing materials and collateral.
  • Support planning and coordinate/manage the execution of trade shows and customer events; and
  • Manage budget tracking including recording and reporting on marketing expenditure.

Who are we looking for?

Key to your success is your experience in a similar Marketing Coordinator or Marketing Assistant role and your sound knowledge of the marketing process and understanding of how your role contributes to the business.  You are a self-starter with demonstrated organisational, project management, communications (written and verbal), and analytical skills combined with an attention to detail and a creative thinking style. 

You will also have the following skills and attributes:

  • tertiary qualifications in marketing or related fields;
  • previous experience in B2B marketing, coupled with B2C would be highly desirable;
  • effective influencing and relationship building skills; and
  • sound experience working with various systems such as SAP or similar ERP, Salesforce or similar CRM, Google Analytics and tools, Excel, WordPress or similar website publishing tools.
