As the Technical Manager, you will support our value proposition to customers, asset owners, builders and specifiers in the NSW market.  Your key purpose will be to enhance the competitiveness of BlueScope’s product offering through the:

• Provision of product application and technical support to the marketing and sales teams;
• Engagement of direct and indirect customers to drive specification through product recommendations based on an understanding of end-user requirements;
• Development of projects and one-off warranties to maximise client satisfaction and minimise BlueScope’s risk; and
• The identification of incremental or breakthrough product development ideas through industry engagement activities.

Who are we looking for?

Key to your success will be your experience in a similar technical customer-facing role and your tertiary qualifications in engineering, science, metallurgy or materials disciplines. 

In addition, you will have the following:

• understanding of product applications and end-user requirements;
• project management skills including superior stakeholder engagement; and
• well-developed interpersonal, influencing and networking skills.
