Job Description

As an integral member of our agile and dynamic team the Engineering Manager, will support the continuous improvement of plant reliability, systems, processes and performance of our tube manufacturing plant based in Salisbury. You will drive efficiency and safety improvements across the site while motivating, developing and leading a team in their professional development. Utilising best practice and the right level technology you will improve service levels and manufacturing efficiencies.

Other responsibilities will include facilities management, project management, development of site capital and maintenance budgets while ensuring high levels of health and safety are maintained. Additionally, you will drive improvements through all engineering and maintenance systems and processes.

What we are looking for?

As an accomplished professional with a proven track record in senior engineering management roles you will be skilled in the management and supervision of multi-disciplined engineering and trade teams. You will have worked in a high-volume manufacturing or production facility and offer well developed project management (mechanical and electrical) and implementation experience.

Comprehensive experience and knowledge of best practice manufacturing systems e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, TPS along with ISO9001 or TS16949 manufacturing quality systems will be highly regarded. Naturally you will be well informed on Australian Standards and Industry Statutory requirements for plant and equipment along with a sound understanding of engineering analysis processes and techniques.

Highly motivated and energetic you will drive and sustain change and impress with your capabilities to make timely and strategic decisions. Displaying exceptional communication skills, you will be confident in influencing, negotiating and liaising with all levels of management and staff.

Formal education in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is essential, ideally supplemented with additional qualifications in management.
