Bluescope’s Australian welded products include beams and columns and are recognised for their quality. Based at our extensive Port Kembla operations, the Welded Products Plant cuts and welds hot rolled steel plate to order into beams and columns.

The Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator has the task of ensuring that our mechanical production assets are serviced and maintained. There is a variety of heavy machinery to maintain such as automated welders, industrial cutting machines, blasters and gantry cranes among other equipment.

Ensuring uptime involves regular scheduled maintenance and real-time servicing and repairs. It will involve daily inspections, scheduling planned maintenance, and engaging and managing contractors to ensure their performance meets our standards and KPI’s.

Working the day shift there is occasional pre-planned weekend shutdown work and an annual shutdown for extensive maintenance.  

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced and confident maintenance specialist who has worked in a heavy manufacturing environment and is ready to join a leading company and benefit from the long-term and diverse career opportunities that are available. A mechanical trade with appropriate certification/qualifications is essential. Engineering qualifications are not mandatory but will be advantageous.
