We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our Gas Processing Department within Coke and Iron Making in Port Kembla. You will work within a dynamic and supportive team and be responsible for providing supervision to the large scale production and dispatch of commoditized By-Products.

A key area of our business, the Gas Processing Department is currently looking to recruit a team leader to deliver on their objectives and targets.

As the Team Leader, you will encourage continuous improvement strategies, and actively support management during change initiatives. You will provide operational and technical leadership so that the Gas Processing Business Plan objectives are met.

In this leadership role, you will Improve the skills and competency of team members with your strong team and organizational leadership skills.

In addition to this, the role will also require you to:

• Ensure the safe capture and processing of raw Coke Ovens Gas
• Manage the reticulation & recycling of process water systems for Cokemaking
• Ensure that Gas Processing plant integrity and functionality is maintained and sustained
• Control budget associated with operating and maintaining the Gas Processing plant
• Ensure effective controls are in place to manage the hazards associated with the process

Who are we looking for?

This is a great opportunity that would suit an enthusiastic and motivated individual keen to pursue a leadership position.

We are looking for someone with experience in the operation of a continuous industrial process and experience with equipment management (including equipment long life strategy and maintenance) as well as maintenance of heavy equipment in process service provision.

You will also hold Tertiary qualifications.

Front line leadership experience in an industrial workplace is preferred, but not essential.
