Job Description

Our ground-breaking technology is built on top of billions of data points that are representative of a developer’s interaction with Source and Task tracking systems. The enormous amount of data BlueOptima processes on a daily level requires specialists to dive into the dataset, identify insights from the data points and device solutions to extend BlueOptima’s product suite.

We are looking for talented data analysts who are critical of data and curious to determine the story it narrates, do not shy away from large datasets and are aptly able to use any and all tools available at their disposal to interrogate the data.
 
A successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into product features.

Responsibilities and tasks: 

  • Collaborate with the Machine Learning and Data Engineering team to ideate and implement ML and Non-ML based solutions related to our core product offerings e.g. Developer Analytics and Team Lead Dashboard 
  • Work with product and business teams like Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and Finance to generate valuable insights from their data, by building functional and actionable  dashboards
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports for internal and external clients using business analytics reporting tools 
  • Identifying and implementing opportunities for automation, dashboards and reporting to reduce manual effort wherever feasible
  • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using statistical techniques
  • Mine and analyse diverse datasets, draw valid inferences and collaborate with Product team on feature suggestions and development

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 2 year of relevant experience (Internships or Work Experience) in Data Science, Data Analytics and Business Intelligence 
  • Must have a strong working understanding of SQL, which extends to Query Performance Tuning  and advanced data transformation. Is able to write efficient queries to extract data from very large datasets.
  • Must have proficiency in Python for data analysis beyond EDA. Is able to write well-documented and reusable code
  • Proficient in use of BI Tools such as Tableau, Grafana, Kibana, Power BI 
  • Strong fundamentals in Statistical Analysis, and ability to use R/Python or a similar language for the purpose of analysing data
  • Is able to break down problem statements into detailed requirements and carve out solutions
  • Shows a willingness to learn and adopt to new tools and technologies
