We are seeking a QA Associate to join our growing company and be a part of our success story, with experience in manual testing (some exposure in automation) for web application components, which are remotely deployed.

We are looking for a talented QA Associate with deep experience of software testing procedure and analytical skills to join our research and development team in India.

Your team: The Manual Testing team at BlueOptima caters to all current and upcoming product changes in Developer Analytics and Predictive Assessment, which are the core competencies of BlueOptima. 

You will be responsible for all aspects of our test procedures and work closely with the Scrum masters, Product Owners and Development teams to identify the best strategies for designing, developing and maintaining testing strategies for testing UI, Web Services and Testing of Web Services, writing and maintaining test suites.

The QA Associate will be part of a high-performance global software development team and should have strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.


Responsibilities and tasks: 

The challenges that you will be working on, will be as follows, but not limited to
Develop and execute test cases

  • Work with Engineering & Product team to understand use cases and create tests
  • Defect management. Understand functional requirements, Perform QA tasks to meet customer needs, provide testing analysis
  • Maintaining and improving current Testing strategies and suites.
  • Coming up with out of box scenarios to edge cases for features
  • Familiarity with Windows and Linux development environments
  • Maintaining smooth flow of releases with Team Leads
  • Owning critical pieces of application
  • Design, develop and maintain Automation frameworks for testing UI and API
  • Creating, updating and managing tests (automated)
  • Working experience with JIRA
  • Having basic knowledge of programming in Java, Selenium, Rest-Assured or similar modern test automation tools and frameworks
     

 

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed at BlueOptima: 

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent with minimum 1+ years’ experience in QA and testing
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Having expertise in defect management and reporting
  • Having exceptional analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Experience in Ad-hoc, Functional, Regression and Sanity/Smoke testing
  • Experience in Automating Web Application Testing using Selenium .
  • Experience in Java Programming, Selenium Web Driver, JUnit and TestNG

Good to have

  • Knowledge of Jenkins and integration test suite with Jenkins
  • Experience with testing distributed systems
  • Experience testing on Web Services and UI technology
  • Knowledge of testing APIs with Postman or similar tool
  • Able to write basic SQL queries
  • Understanding of Agile methodology
