As a Technical Writer, you will create easy-to-understand user content and product documentation to increase product clarity, performance, and usability for our clients. You will play a major role in setting out the whole technical content strategy and utilise your strong communication skills to develop API documentation, implementation guides and more. 

This is a cross-functional role that will work alongside multiple teams such as Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success and Revenue Operations, so we are looking for someone who can build and manage strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. 

Your team:

You will be working in a diverse team with members located around our different offices, across the globe. We currently have 6 people in our Product team, and you will report to our current Head of Product.

The team has doubled in the past 6 months due to the company's expansion, and the expected projection of growth within the following 12 months is to double again.
 

Responsibilities and tasks: 

• Create strong content that fulfils company standards and audience goals, including User Guides for non-technical users and API documentation for technical users.

• Design and Implement self-service help center, product documentation, guides and FAQ to address user’s pain points

• Write straight-forward user tutorials and interface text

• Utilize a variety of media forms; include graphs, images and charts

• Revises, edits, or updates instructions, technical information, and frequently asked questions as necessary

• Creates, adapts, and follows project schedules and deadlines

• Remains up-to-date on technological and product developments as well as universal specifications relevant to the industry

• Analyze the intended audience to understand the full scope of their roles and the problems/behaviors that your product content addresses.

What You Need to Succeed at BlueOptima: 

• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred

• Experience of 2+ years in technical writing of software documentation 

• Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite 

• Experience of working with a variety of content types and on document development lifecycles

• Familiarity of software development processes/operations, and terminology used within software development.

• Excellent English-language verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environment, prior startup experience a huge plus

Good to have (Technical requirements/ Previous experience) 

• Experience with working with Wiki JS
