Job Description

  • Provide technical leadership, quality assurance, and decision-oriented recommendations to ensure quality deliverables are achieved on time
  • Employ disciplined systems engineering processes including, requirements development, technical management and control, system/software design and architecture, integrated risk management, configuration management, data management, and test, evaluation, verification, and validation practices
  • Provide operational and technical advisory support to client leadership
  • Coordinate corrective actions with DMACS PMO Team, DoD Hosting Facility, appropriate vendors, or external entities.
  • Prepare and deliver Monthly Performance Reports including Tier III Metrics
  • Plan and schedule project timelines estimating resources and participants needed to achieve project goals
  • Track, report, and mitigate through remediation plans identified risks and issues
  • Monitor system performance as needed to support the system administration guides and maintain current security profile posture
  • Use monitoring tools (e.g., Topaz, AppDynamics, Splunk) to detect, diagnose and resolve production issues.
  • Provide SME support for the sustainment of a failover capability COOP and a backup solution
  • Complete and submit to the Government all required Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) checklists, scan matrix with hardware and software versions, and other Risk Management Framework (RMF) documents, Annual Review (AR), required for annual Authority to Operate (ATO) recertification
  • Implement security controls in accordance with NIST implementation and validation requirements specified in the NIST SP 800-37 and DoDI 8510.01
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and transparent fashion
  • Knowledgeable of IT PM Concepts and Cyber Security Concepts
  • Ability to lead and meet milestones on projects
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively, both independently and in teams, ensuring timely completion of assignments and meeting established quality standards
  • Understanding of Federal Security Standard such as FIPS 199, NIST 800-53 series, NIST SP 800-37 and DoDI 8510.01
  • Ability to accurately document data for required reporting and change management
  • Expert knowledge and use of the MS Office suite (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Project)
  • Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Three to Five (3 - 5) years’ experience in managing federal programs
  • One to Three (1– 3) years’ experience in Cyber Security Analysis
  • DoD Experience Strongly Preferred
