Quantity Surveyor
Job Description
Our client is an Industry Award- Winning contractor specialising in Groundworks and RC Frames based in west London. They are seeking a Quantity Surveyor with significant groundworks experience.
THE ROLE:
- Preparing valuations for interim applications including variations
- Preparing, negotiating and agreeing final accounts
- Adjustments/remeasuring of Bills of Quantities
- Preparing cost budgets and prices for contract variations
- Preparing valuation and payment certificates
- Monitoring costs and ensuring budget targets are met.
- Monthly costs/value reconciliation.
- Evaluating/selecting subcontract tenders.
- Checking material sizes and quantities for procurement
DESIRABLE SKILLS AND TRAINING:
- Minimum 2-3 years QS experience in Groundworks.
- Experience in frames would also be desirable (but not essential).
- Degree qualified in a relevant degree (Eng BSc, MSc, HND or HNC)
- Good time management and high responsibilities and working ability to meet the deadline
The role is predominantly office based with regular visits to sites.
SALARY:
Salary is negotiable based on the experience (on or above market rate)
