Company Description
This position is for one of our Clients, located in Virginia is currently seeking a motivated, career, and customer-oriented Systems Administrator to support our client at the Department of Defense.

Government Eligibility Requirements: Top Secret clearance is required.
Responsibilities:
- Provide infrastructure and configuration support for client and server-based applications
- Provide application, network, and application administration on Linux and Solaris servers
- Provide IT support for day-to-day operations, infrastructure, and configuration management in support of DMDC
- Provide 24 X 7 support on a rotational basis.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment
- At least four (4) years of relevant work experience in an engineering role with two (2) years of specialized, relevant technical work experience in the areas of
telecommunications, systems engineering, systems development, hardware and software developments and/or installation system engineering support. - Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and solving problems in complex
communications systems. - Ability to identify and analyze functional and operational requirements, and develop solutions to satisfy emerging needs
Qualifications
Government Eligibility Requirements: Top Secret clearance is required.
Strong understanding and/or experience in GSM, UMTS, and LTE mobile core network
architectures and related hardware, software, and protocols
Working experience with Telco infrastructure: NSS (i.e., MSC, HLR, AUC, VLR, EIR),
BSS (BTS, BSC, Common Air Interfaces), OSS (i.e., Inventory Systems, Customer
Care/Billing Systems and gateways to transport information), SMSC, SGSN, GGSN and
other ancillary components
Knowledge of the theory and principles of telecommunications (i.e., SS7, telco
subsystems design/architecture/implementation/configuration)
Experience with Wireshark and analyzing logs, stack traces, debug libraries,
software/hardware
Experience with scripting languages and programming; Python, Perl, Shell, VI, C, C++
Networking and security certifications
