Note: We have adopted a hybrid work schedule where employees work remote half of the time and report in person to our Costa Mesa, CA office the other half. We expect the candidate to be working from Southern California even while remote.

This role represents our first DevOps team hire, so you’ll be responsible for taking control of key cloud systems that are currently managed directly by the back-end developers. Once the initial hand-off is complete, you’ll be tasked with improving our systems from an automation, reliability, and security perspective. You’ll also oversee our internal IT infrastructure which is mainly running through Microsoft 365.

• Working on a small team with a positive can-do attitude
• Maintaining and implementing back-end infrastructure on AWS and Google Cloud
• Building CI/CD pipelines
• Spinning up prototype systems for internal exploration such as new databases we haven’t used before
• Define and execute maintenance schedules on cloud servers
• Connecting monitoring and alert systems so that we know the status of our cloud systems around the clock
• Handling general IT tasks like new user onboarding and permissions control
• Implement new IT initiatives such as building out our SSO Azure AD solution for all SaaS products we use
• Improving and maintaining our internal device inventory management systems
• Manage code pushes to Google Cloud and AWS.

• BS/MS in Computer Science
• Either Google Cloud or AWS experience (both a plus)
• Knowledge of cloud security management: VPCs, firewalls, zero trust model, etc.
• 5+ year minimum experience.
• Ability to multitask, set priorities and manage time effectively.
• Positive, enthusiastic attitude.

Compensation: Base salary ($90-$175K)+ possibility of team performance bonuses
