We are seeking an experienced Data Engineering Manager with strong expertise in Snowflake to lead our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Snowflake architecture, design, implementation, and optimization to drive our data warehouse initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, ensuring best practices in design, development, and delivery of data solutions.

• Architect, implement, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows leveraging AWS services, Python, and SQL.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (analytics, BI, product, and business) to gather requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.

• Design and deploy Cortex-integrated pipelines that retrieve, summarize, and visualize data from Snowflake, including semantic layer mapping and metadata-driven access

• Oversee data modeling, warehousing, and governance practices to ensure data quality, consistency, and security.

• Establish and maintain coding standards, peer reviews, and CI/CD practices for data engineering projects.

• Drive innovation by evaluating new tools, frameworks, and cloud-native services within the AWS ecosystem.

• Manage team resources, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.

• Ensure compliance with data security, governance, and privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).

Qualifications:

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.

• AI/ML & NLP:
  • Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI APIs, RAG, SentenceTransformers, spaCy
  • LangChain, LlamaIndex.
  • Experience designing and deploying Cortex-integrated pipelines to retrieve, summarize, and visualize data from Snowflake, including semantic layer mapping and metadata-driven access.
• Cloud Platforms:
  • AWS, Azure, GCP, Snowflake
  • Model deployment with TorchServe, Triton Inference Server, Seldon, FastAPI
• Data & BI Infrastructure:
  • Apache Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
  • Data validation: Great Expectations, DVC
  • Semantic modeling, dashboarding (Plotly, Tableau, Streamlit, React)

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with orchestration and workflow management tools (e.g., Airflow, Step Functions).

• Experience with modern data stack tools (e.g., dbt, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes).

• Exposure to data lake/warehouse design patterns and BI ecosystems.

• Experience in client services, consultancy, or agency environments.
