Job Description

Project Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Optimization Consultant to drive B2B spend growth within the ecommerce sector. This role is ideal for a strategic sales professional with deep ecommerce and digital payments experience. The Consultant will work closely with sales leaders to unlock new business opportunities within existing enterprise relationships while supporting pipeline development and strategic sales efforts in high-growth ecommerce verticals.

You’ll be a key player in shaping revenue strategies, originating new opportunities, and delivering consultative support and insights to sales teams to help close deals and scale impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a growth strategy aligned with revenue goals and customer needs
  • Serve in a hybrid Sales and Account Management capacity to grow wallet share and support new business origination
  • Build and manage a strong, well-qualified pipeline
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and guide pricing negotiations to ensure competitive yet profitable outcomes
  • Assist with contracts, project documentation, and implementation planning
  • Prepare and attend meetings and business reviews with partners (virtual and in-person)
  • Represent the organization at industry events, including public speaking engagements and product presentations
  • Create training materials for internal teams to enhance sales effectiveness, including insights on industry trends, competitive positioning, and client objectives

Ecommerce Focus Areas

Online Sales:

  • Travel Aggregators: Platforms using Virtual Card Numbers (VCNs) to procure travel inventory (e.g. hotel wholesalers, flight aggregators)
  • Online Marketplaces: Similar procurement flows in non-travel sectors (e.g. furniture, fashion, logistics)

Digital Economy:

  • Fintech Payments: Cross-border payment-on-behalf models (e.g. international remittance platforms)
  • Gigs & Disbursements: Mobile Virtual Card Accounts (mVCA) enabling digital disbursements in verticals like insurance, healthcare, and on-demand services
  • Digitized Sales: Large traditional retailers purchasing online ad space to boost ecommerce presence (e.g. social media and search ad flows)

Qualifications

  • Deep understanding of ecommerce payment ecosystems, particularly in Online Sales and Digital verticals
  • Proven success in B2B sales and new business development within ecommerce industries
  • Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Effective relationship builder across all organizational levels
  • Creative, energetic, and solutions-oriented

Additional Information

This role is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.

The starting pay range for this role is $60.00/HR-$75/HR. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on several factors including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, certifications, training, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range and determining factors for compensation are considered for each individual circumstance.
