Job Description
Blend is seeking an Administration and Compliance Lead to lead corporate administration, legal compliance, governance, and risk management in Colombia. This role requires a strategic leader who can align local business activities with global corporate standards while ensuring full compliance with Colombian regulations. The ideal candidate will serve as the legal representative of the company, managing vendor relationships, mitigating risks, and facilitating communication between local and global teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Legal & Compliance Oversight
Ensure full compliance with Colombian labor laws, tax regulations, intellectual property rights, contractual obligations, and civil legislation.
Serve as the company’s legal representative in Colombia, with authority to sign contracts, represent the company before banks, and engage with external stakeholders.
Regularly review and update compliance policies to meet local regulatory changes.
2. Administrative Leadership
Oversee daily administrative workflows to ensure the smooth operation of Blend’s office in Colombia.
Coordinate with global teams to align local operations with Blend’s corporate policies and standards.
Manage relationships with local vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation and review.
3. Governance & Risk Management
- Identify potential risks related to compliance, operations, and governance, and implement mitigation strategies.
Coordinate audits and regulatory inspections, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to legal requirements.
Act as a key liaison with legal counsel for regulatory matters and corporate governance.
Represent the company in discussions with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry associations to stay informed on policy changes and advocate for corporate interests.
4. Stakeholder Management & Reporting
Report directly to the Head of Colombia and NOLA, providing regular updates on compliance status, administrative performance, and key performance indicators. .
Collaborate closely with global teams in finance, HR, marketing, and technology to ensure effective cross-functional alignment.
Facilitate effective communication between the Colombian office and global stakeholders.
Support strategic growth initiatives in Colombia, including expansion strategies for potential business opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Public Accounting, or related fields. A master’s degree or specialization in corporate law, compliance, or business management is a plus.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in administrative management, legal compliance, or corporate governance roles within multinational companies.
Proven experience as a legal representative in Colombia, with strong knowledge of local labor, tax, and corporate laws.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional relationships in a global environment.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
C1 proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
Experience working for international companies is a plus.
