As part of our data services department, you will be working primarily with the Data Warehouse team - being fully embedded into team rituals and working with Data Engineers. You will serve a key role in realizing our team's objective: to enable all data consumers at BlaBlaCar to access data in the easiest, most reliable and secure way. Your mission is to drive the operational processes towards realizing our vision. This is a central team in the company with stakeholders across the organization, from both Engineering and Business worlds, and you will work closely with all of them. 

Examples of challenges: 

• Preparing the team for ingesting event-based data from production services vs. snapshotting

• Roadmap owner: gathering requests from all stakeholders; breaking down missions into 6-week sprints, allocating them across engineers; following this plan; measuring its success

• Understand the company priorities and apply them to prioritize the tasks that are asked by other teams

What you will directly contribute to

• Partner with Engineering, Data Analysts teams and Business team managers to agree on priorities and dependencies

• Build the associate roadmap to deliver the above

• Follow strategic projects and ensure they are progressing smoothly

• Manage the team's tasks and projects on a daily basis

• Communicate on the team plan and achievements within BlaBlaCar

What you will need to be successful

• Significant experience (2-5 years of work) as a Product Owner in an agile team.

• Engineer Degree or equivalent

• Analytical or Programming background 

• Solid experience with project and team management tools. We use Jira, Confluence and Google Workspace

• Fluent in English - French is not mandatory

• Structured, organized, keen to solve problems, set up processes and free up bottlenecks

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong influential skills- this is a Manage without Authority role

Nice to have

• Data Engineering experience, ideally with our stack: Airflow, BigQuery, GCP

• Personal achievements: awards, etc.
