Job Description

BlaBlaCar is on a mission to change the bus market across Eastern Europe. With more than 90% of ticket sales currently happening offline we aim to transform the market, making it digital for customers, technologically advanced and convenient for bus carriers and partners; BlaBlaCar being a leader of online bus ticket sales.

We are looking for Vice President CEE ProMarketplace to lead country operations in Russia, Ukraine and Poland. Reporting to Senior Vice President of ProMarketplace, the new joiner will:

  • Lead local ProMarketplace teams to increase company market share in online bus ticket sales across Pro Marketplace countries and continuously increase inventory available on BlaBlaCar platform
  • Foster collaboration among marketplace teams in each country to ensure sharing of best practices and finding most creative/cost-effective solutions that could be applied in all countries
  • Serve as a link between Pro Marketplace strategy team and local marketplace teams to ensure fast-paced adoption of processes and tools developed at the Pro Marketplace strategy team level
  • Work in close collaboration with Pro Marketplace Product and Tech teams to develop/modify company technical solutions for bus partners 
  • Represent the Company in front of the bus market; maintaining existing and building up new relations with market participants and stakeholders, understanding their needs and requirements. Also serve as company spokesperson for all lines of business in the countries he/she is in charge of

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in operations, management consulting and/or general management
  • Strong business acumen with capacity to translate high-level business strategy into pragmatic operational direction
  • Robust experience in managing teams across different offices and/or regions
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to work with data to define priorities, actionable insights, and present results
  • Strong communication skills that enables to work closely and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders in an ever-changing, fast pace environment with tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of transportation market in the countries of presence is a big plus
  • High-energy, humble, structured, organized and motivated by innovation and constant change
  • Fluency in English and open to travel frequently
