As part of the Operations Data Analytics team inside the Tech department, you will build, develop and maintain a data layer on top of the data warehouse to provide business analysts with actionable insights. 

At the interface of the technical and business teams, you will own the data framework to popularize the data inside the operational teams, and for the bus teams in particular. 

Joining us, you will use both a strong business sense as well as enhance your technical strengths. Your business sense will be critical for understanding your stakeholders’ true needs: we expect you to challenge what is asked and to prioritize your tasks depending on the company priorities. At the same time, you will take an active part in building data flows and data modeling, joining data sources of the domain within your responsibility. You will be using data analytics tools such as BigQuery (Google) and Tableau. 

Also, you will popularize technical concepts to less technical people during training sessions. Finally, you will develop your data analytics skills while taking part in our Analytics Guild sessions and events: “Share More, Learn More” is one of BlaBlaCar’s core values.

What you will directly contribute to:

• Build a data product as an interface between operational and core data warehouse teams. Connect data to compute the business KPIs to enable best in class decisions making, using GCP Bigquery

• Guide and train business analysts and operation managers towards a better usage of the data

• Analyse and deliver reports with Tableau software

• Contribute to knowledge and best practices sharing within the Analytics Guild

• Build positive and trustful relationship while working with stakeholders to identify business needs, challenges and opportunities

• Provide punctual analysis with actionable insights to bus teams leading to strategic changes for the company (pricing, network, operations...)

What you will need to be successful:

• Master’s degree or equivalent: engineering school, business school, etc…

• 2-5 years of work experience in data analysis

• Strong proficiency in SQL

• Solid statistics knowledge

• Solid dashboarding experience: Tableau, Power BI, etc…

• Basic programming experience

• Fluent in English - French is not mandatory

• Be humble, structured, organized, motivated by innovation, and a relentless doer

• Enjoy working as a team-player and learning from others

Nice to have

• Degree with a specialty in Economics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data...

• Knowledge of basic terminal UNIX commands (most of the team is using Macbook Pro)

• Experience in Python

• Experience using a scheduler like Airflow

• Experience using a Cloud Provider: AWS, GCP, Azure

• Github public profile, Kaggle competitions, technical achievements

• Personal achievements
