The program team’s mission at BlaBlaCar is two-fold: coordinate and track several team projects to achieve a larger objective, and help us to drive innovation and efficiency of the processes we use today to achieve more, better, faster. 

By joining the Foundations team as an Engineering Program Manager we hope to leverage your infrastructure technical background and a product-oriented mindset to drive our infrastructure revamp. We also expect our EPMs to provide feedback to improve our management techniques, reduce overhead, and increase visibility and teamwork. Yours is a key role between our internal product managers, and our engineers. You’ll develop standardized methodologies and frameworks, ensuring smooth and effective delivery processes.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced technical environment, has a passion for learning, a positive attitude, and can create and facilitate a collaborative workplace.

What you will directly contribute to:

• Working closely with engineers, product managers, PO’s, and cross-functional team members to coordinate the tasks in the software development life cycle (from concept to launch/run);

• Working with PO/PM/Eng leads to develop high-level deliverable milestones, and plan the quarterly roadmap and OKRs (objectives and key results);

• Participating in agile ceremonies to identify blockers/issues to backlog grooming, sprint planning, and releases coordinated across teams;

• Providing regular reporting on milestones, releases, other critical achievements, dependencies and risks;

• Addressing bottlenecks by providing escalation management and impact analysis;

• Facilitating regular cross-functional team meetings to ensure stakeholder feedback is incorporated.

What you will need to be successful: 

• 5+ years professional experience including 2 years of program management;

• 1+ year of experience with infrastructure projects;

• Solution-driven problem solving skills;

• Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization (technical, business, executive). 

• Remote team management skills a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal skills, maturity, judgement, negotiation/influence skills,, and leadership skills;

• Strong familiarity with Agile processes and software development lifecycle;

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teams;

• Demonstrated high degree of organization and ability to manage multiple, competing priorities;

• Passion to improve processes, increase velocity, and promote collaboration.
