Job Description

Why you would want to join us 

As a Marketing Analytics Team Lead, your role will be leading the marketing analytics team, setting the best practices on the market for optimization and tracking solutions. You will mentor and develop junior analysts in order to drive decision-making and campaign efficiency. Your analyses and insights will be used to define the marketing strategy and growth trajectory of BlaBlaCar and BlaBlaBus.

You will work in close collaboration with the VP Marketing, the Head of Paid Marketing, the Head of CRM and the Country Operation Lead in order to improve the efficiency of our marketing strategy. The core of our BI stack is composed of Tableau, GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and BigQuery.

You will create a strong relationship with the Automation Team and collaborate with this team to bring optimization to our marketing. The insights and inputs from you and your team will strongly shape how the Automation Team develops the Marketing Automation platform that aims at scaling and improving the efficiency of our advertising campaigns.

What you will directly contribute to  

  • Leveraging data to understand awareness, acquisition, activation and retention dynamics, and help identify key growth and efficiency opportunities. 

  • Build relevant ROI framework for online and offline marketing initiatives, helping define operational targets for local and central marketing teams, and evaluate success  Manage a team of junior analysts. Provide leadership, best practices and guidelines for teams work. 

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (Marketing, Data Engineers, Data Scientists and Data Analysts) to plan, facilitate and develop Marketing Analytics projects 

  • Supporting our marketing experts to run A/B test campaigns by designing a clean experiment framework, gathering data and analyzing results in order to optimize and scale marketing operations

  • Identify, analyze and monitor opportunities and issues that affect our marketing efficiency and top line growth

  • Build a strong network with your peers outside the company to ensure BlaBlaCar puts in place best-in-class marketing analytics

  • Design dashboards and make your stakeholders autonomous on data and analytics

Qualifications

What you will need to be successful 

  • 5+ years of total work experience, including at least 3+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting in a digital marketing environment, and 2+ years of team management and/or stakeholder management experience.

  • You have a good understanding of key marketing concepts (campaign measurement, audience targeting, attribution model, customer lifetime value etc.) and demonstrate knowledge of industry trends.

  • Tracking system knowledge (GTM, Google analytics)

  • Strong analytical mindset & data manipulation skills (SQL knowledge & Python is a plus)

  • Proficiency in web analytics and data visualization tools

  • Autonomous, self-starter, detail-oriented

  • Enjoy working as a team-player and learning from others

  • Fluent in English (French is not mandatory)
