We currently have an opportunity for a talented public policy manager to join us and support the high-speed growth of our business in Brazil, in an intellectually challenging and strategic role.

What you will directly contribute to?

• Monitor and understand the legal framework applicable to Blablacar’s activities in Brazil;
• Build up relationship with, and educate policy makers and other public and private stakeholders so that they clearly understand our business model and our approach to the market (through position papers and/or in person meetings or conferences);
• Improve legal framework applicable to BlaBlaCar in Brazil;
• Assess the impact of any new draft legislation that may apply to Blablacar in Brazil and help shape such new legislation as needed;
• Represent BlaBlaCar in associations we are members of;
• All other matters which arise in the day to day running of an expanding business.

• 5 to 10 years of experience working on Public Policy issues (Public Policy specialist in start-ups and new technology companies, consultant in a Public Policy consulting firm, lawyer working on public policy issues - either in house or in private practice - or a position in government, politics or a regulatory agency.)
• Excellent drafting and communication skills 
• Capacity to see the big picture and communicate in a concise manner
• Ability to think strategically
• Great team player
• Comfortable working in various jurisdictions, with different languages and cultures
• Business oriented, creative and solution driven mindset
• Autonomy and sense of initiative
• Ability to work fast and meet aggressive deadlines
• Native speaker in Portuguese and fluent in English
• Other language skills are a plus
