Job Description

As a Technical Writer, you'll be responsible for the documentation that helps clarify our customer’s understanding of our SaaS B2B software products. You will lead CX-centric analysis of the information a customer will need on their journey and both architect and create technical content to best serve our users with the information when they need it.

You'll work alongside the technical and product/UX teams to discover knowledge about the systems, upcoming changes to the systems and how best to communicate these details and changes to our customers via our customer facing documentation.

You'll also have the opportunity to: 

  • Create content and edit content created by subject matter experts with high attention to detail and quality
  • Identify which pieces of information a customer will need about our software systems and the best point of their customer journey to present it to them
  • Utilise your technical expertise to be able learn technical details our products from subject matter experts and develop your own understanding of the system
  • Elevate the customer onboarding process through by minimising high touch support due to to confusion/ missing information 

Qualifications

  • Significant experience in technical writing 
  • Demonstrated ability to learn the technical details and understand of deeply complicated software systems
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, information rich environment where a self-directed prioritisation of content creation will be essential 
  • Awareness of how to tailor information for varying levels of organisation; from enterprise to SME and technical/ non-technical users 
  • Prior success architecting content strategies and layouts to minimise customer onboarding time and minimising support load
