About This Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Medical Director to drive the clinical development strategy for Friedreich’s Ataxia (FA). Initial responsibilities will focus on the pediatric development plan and other life-cycle management activities for our rare disease product, the first approved treatment for Friedreich’s ataxia. This individual will serve as the Clinical Development Lead on the Product Development and Commercialization team, and support business development activities for FA.
This role will report to the Head of the Neuromuscular Development Unit.
Location: as per our local hybrid HR policy based in Baar, Switzerland
Who you are
Prior experience engaging with regulators and/or payors and building and maintaining relationships with KMEs. Ability to manage multiple projects and take initiative to solve complex & challenging problems being a great communicator. Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with regional and/or affiliate medical to ensure regional activities are executed in alignment with global medical strategy and ensuring the insights and needs from them are known and properly addressed.
Qualifications
• Education: MD, PhD (life sciences), or PharmD
• Minimum of 7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
• Relevant experience in the neuromuscular and/or rare disease field
• Prior experience engaging with regulators and/or payors and building and maintaining relationships with KMEs
• Ability to manage multiple projects and take initiative to solve complex & challenging problems
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with regional and/or affiliate medical to ensure regional activities are executed in alignment with global medical strategy and ensuring the insights and needs from them are known and properly addressed.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to include presentations
• Fluency in English, other languages a plus
