Job Description
Responsible for receiving, shipping and delivering all inbound shipments and to include pulls GMP orders. This position will support manufacturing PF and OSM second shift operations (4pm to 12mn). Ship and receive of drug product which includes Oracle transactions, documentation, material preparation and vendor/customer coordination. Additional responsibilities include storage of bulk product, cycle counting DOT and Hazmat and responding to equipment alarms. Good oral and written communications is required to apply job skills and company policies to complete the overall tasks.
The Material Handler receives, ships and delivers all inbound shipments and pulls GMP requests by performing the following Principal Accountabilities:
- Receives all GMP items on an electronic inventory system verifies count, vendor item, number and expiration date against item specification and purchase order prior to printing the bar code label.
- Prepares bills of ladings and other shipping documents.
- Revises SOPs and Formulas on the inventory system as needed.
- Interacts with manufacturing to retrieve all relevant information to complete month end closing on the system.
- Creates, allocates and stages material for Move Order/Internal Requisitions to be processed in manufacturing.
- Receives and delivers incoming packages to recipients across RTP site.
- Pulls GMP requests as needed: Decrementing from inventory control system and charging out to the correct department.
- Pulls and stages material in the warehouse.
- Pulls, packs, and ships finished products to the customer according to applicable SOP’s.
- Performs quarterly cycle counts and investigates discrepancies.
- Operates all shipping manifest systems.
- Ship and receive Drug Product and Drug Substance.
- Remains current on DOT and Hazmat regulations.
- Maintains cleanliness and orderly storage conditions in the warehouse.
- Operate and maintain power industrial equipment.
Qualifications
- Experience with documenting daily warehouse operations in a cGMP environment required.
- High level of detail, good documentation practices, and ability to follow procedures as written are preferred.
- Subject matter knowledge in all areas within the warehouse preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing.
Education:
HS Diploma with 1- 3 years of experience or A.A. with 1 year of experience preferred, or B.S. degree with little or no experience.
