Job Description

About This Role:

A key member of the Site Engineering & Facilities leadership team, this role directs the activities of Facilities Engineering staff and is accountable for the installation, commissioning, qualification and validation and optimization of all infrastructure and utilities equipment including HVAC, electrical distribution, steam generation, qualified utilities such as WFI, clean steam gases and all associated controls. This role also leads troubleshooting efforts using best practice tools to understand and correct the root cause of failures. A key component of this role is the development and continuous improvement of work processes that optimize team efficiency.

What You'll Do:

  • Allocate and manage workloads in accordance with site priorities. This includes managing assigned compliance deliverables such as deviations, corrective and preventive actions, change controls, procedure updates and troubleshooting and optimization of equipment and systems.
  • Support large capital projects and drives small projects, including design requirements, scoping, modifications, design reviews, FMEAS, change controls, construction support, commissioning and validation.
  • Mentor, coach and develop Facilities Engineering staff including timely performance feedback and opportunities for growth and continuous improvement

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field plus a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced knowledge of critical plant systems such as GMP Air Handling, WFI, Clean Steam, Plant steam generation/ distribution, Chilled water generation/ distribution and GxP gases 
  • Ability to facilitate Root Cause Analysis sessions
  • Competency with Building Management Systems, Control Systems and data historians.
  • Excellent communication, influence and collaboration skills to partner with multiple disciplines and departments
