Bring your skills and talents to Biogen and our R&D Project Management Team, where you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact on the lives of patients around the globe.  The R&D Project Management Office provides strategic and operational drug discovery and development leadership across the Research and Development portfolio, integrating drug development across all functions and translating strategy into execution to deliver medicines to patients.

 What You’ll Do

  • Ensure internal functional alignment, creating integrated project timelines, tracking, and verifying completion of project deliverables and milestones, identifying and mitigating project risks, and timely communication to relevant partners via regular and ad-hoc status reports.
  • Manage scope and support creation of a global integrated development plan that articulates the asset strategy and provides foundation for operational objectives
  • Collaborate with R&D Project Teams to create and execute project plans and delivery of project milestones

You work collaboratively with your global cross-functional project teams to progress the R&D portfolio.  You ensure high quality project planning and execution of drug development programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in sciences or engineering, Advanced Degree preferred
  • PMP certification is a plus
  • Minimum five years of experience in an R&D scientific and/or R&D project management role
  • Proficient understanding of R&D drug discovery and development processes, in one or more drug modalities, in the biopharmaceutical industry.  Experience with late-stage development, marketed products, and/or managing collaborations is a plus
  • Outstanding ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; ability to communicate to a broad range of stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, navigate ambiguity, adapt to change and make rapid, disciplined decisions to enable agile execution
  • Commitment to a customer-first culture and motivation to solving complex problems and leading teams to success
  • Proven ability to network and collaborate across multiple teams with flexible, positive attitude and ability to get results
  • Proficiency with integrated timeline/gantt chart development and technical experience with project management systems & collaboration tools is a plus (e.g. Planisware, Microsoft Project, OnePager Pro/Express, MS Teams, O365 Sharepoint)
  • Prospective candidate must be able to perform this role in a US Hybrid based assignment either in Cambridge, MA or RTP, NC.
