This position is part of the analytical development function within the Pharma & CMC department.
Successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive characterization of Pharma products (oligonucleotides and small molecules), including product impurities and degradants, using state-of-the-art technologies (LC-MS, GC-MS, HRMS, NMR, FTIR, etc.) to establish process and product knowledge. Furthermore, selected candidate will actively contribute to the advancement of innovative chemistries within the oligonucleotide programs by developing new analytical methods and product characterizations.
Collaboration across various functions, including AD, process development (PD), manufacturing, quality, and regulatory CMC teams, will be an essential aspect of this role. The individual may assume analytical development program representative (ADPR) responsibilities, supporting the development of oligonucleotide and small molecule products.
What You’ll Do
- Performs structural elucidation to support PD.
- Develops analytical methods for the comprehensive characterization of complex oligonucleotide and small molecule products, impurities, and degradants.
- Diagnoses challenges in PD, manufacturing, and life cycle management of commercial products through product characterization.
- Assesses novel analytical technologies and drive innovation in the realm of structure elucidation for oligonucleotide and small molecule products.
- Develops analytical control strategy for oligonucleotide and small molecule therapeutics, and authors regulatory sections as necessary as ADPR.
- Delivers concise written reports and engaging oral presentations that emphasize the scientific discoveries and their implications.
- Collaborates closely with scientists in other Pharma-AD teams and participates in the laboratory management and instrument maintenance.
Who You Are
