About This Role

The Senior Director, Patient Innovation will lead and drive the future innovation strategy and implementation of patient experience for the Biogen US. This key leader will conceptualize, develop, and implement innovative patient-centric solutions with buy in from therapeutic areas and US Leadership Team by leveraging Biogen’s strategic objectives and the broader healthcare ecosystem. This role reports to the Senior Vice President, Head of External Growth & Innovation.

What You’ll Do 

•    Create and lead internal/external, cross-functional teams contributing to the execution of partnership program(s), providing periodic leadership updates including KPIs.
•    Develop a roadmap for transition of new patient marketing capabilities and lead the build and delivery of patient activation initiatives that meet changing business needs inclusive of new market models for data strategy and advanced analytics and AI.
•    Accountable for prioritizing and developing patient enablement capabilities and technologies are developed.
•    Develop, implement, and drive adoption of actionable measurement methodologies for patient experience initiatives to track and support change to become a more patient-centric culture.
•   Develop and implement a comprehensive patient experience strategy that aligns with Biogen’s mission, values, and business objectives.
•   Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, medical affairs, business intelligence and operations, etc. to integrate patient-centric principles into all aspects of the organization’s operations.
•   Identify and implement patient-centric solutions that enhance patient care, adherence, and benefit overall healthcare experience.
•   Lead the development of patient-centric products, services, technologies, and programs that address unmet patient needs.
•  Collaborate with external stakeholders to support patient-centric initiatives and drive positive patient innovations and outcomes.
•  Implement actionable patient satisfaction assessment tools to measure the impact of patient experience initiatives.

Who You Are 
You are a strategic executive focused on promoting patient engagement, improving healthcare outcomes, and patient experiences. You work well in ambiguity and cross functional projects. 
 

Qualifications

•    Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred
•    12+ years of progressive healthcare/pharmaceutical/biotech experience and/or healthcare consulting experience preferred
•    Breadth of experiences across healthcare commercial disciplines (e.g., marketing, market access, strategy, business development, management consulting) are an advantage
•    Experience and deep understanding of healthcare ecosystems
•    Ability to drive and lead through change and ambiguity
•    Proven ability to project manage complex and innovative programs cross-functionally and with external partners
•    Up to 20% travel 

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is $196,800 – $327,900. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, job related years of relevant experience, internal equity, and location of the job. Additionally, this role is eligible for participation in Biogen’s LTI grants and other incentive programs.
