About This Role
The role of a Privileged Access Management (PAM) Solution Architect involves expertise in managing and implementing PAM solutions within an organization's cybersecurity infrastructure. PAM is a key component of Biogen’s cybersecurity program. This position reports to a Dev Ops Team Lead within the Access Automation team under the CISO reporting structure.
What You’ll Do
• You will be responsible for designing and implementing CyberArk's suite of products, such as the Privileged Account Security Solution (PAS), Enterprise Password Vault (EPV), and Privileged Session Manager (PSM).
• You will work on managing and securing privileged accounts and credentials within the organization. This includes identifying privileged accounts, implementing password rotation policies, managing access controls, and monitoring privileged user activities to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations.
• You will be involved in integrating CyberArk solutions with other security systems and tools, such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, identity and access management (IAM) systems, and multi-factor authentication (MFA).
• Serves as a security expert in PAM platform configuration/development, and on-going operations complying with enterprise and security policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
• As a Sr. Manager, you may be responsible for leading a team of technical specialists and providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications
Who You Are
You are an experienced IT professional with expertise in cybersecurity and a solid understanding of related technologies and concepts. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, along with a structured approach to resolving issues is required. You are an exceptional communicator and excel working with diverse teams within the business.
• 8+ years of related IT experience, including 4-5 years of CyberArk experience
• Deep understanding of CyberArk's product suite
• Deep subject matter expertise in Access Management platforms (MS Active Directory, Azure, Okta) and PAM platforms (CyberArk). Working knowledge of best practices for integration methodologies with these platforms for various use cases (ie. Human, IT Resources, Applications, Software Tools, Developer tools, Endpoints, IOT, and Industrial Controls/Equipment)
• Understanding of PAM concepts, principles and best practices
• Strong foundation in cybersecurity principles, including network security and IAM
• Familiarity with various operating systems including Windows, Unix and Linux
• Knowledge of CyberArk’s REST API
• Experience with scripting languages like PowerShell or Python
• Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework
• Strong communication skills including the ability to influence others, and proven ability to build strong relationships with leadership, IT staff and peers
Education:
BA or BS Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or any related field
Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is $118,800 to $191,400. Base salary is determined by a combination of factors including, but not limited to, job related years of relevant experience, internal equity, and location of the job. Additionally, this role is eligible for participation in Biogen’s LTI grants and other incentive programs.
