About This Role
The Senior Program Lead works with Asset Team Directors providing operational support to meet Asset and Corporate objectives. As a core member of the highly matrixed Asset Team, the individual must collaborate cross-functionally with SMEs, line function directors, and Asset Team leaders to align resources and drive results.
The role entails complex problems and situations, requiring in-depth data gathering and analysis of various factors as well as establishing understanding of decision impact on assets and supporting line functions. Judgment will be exercised in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining resolution in accordance with broadly defined practices and policies.
What You’ll Do
- Participates in asset discussions and may occasionally lead cross-functional projects & initiatives
- Supports asset leaders to manage resources and timelines to complete projects
- Participates in program management system improvement initiatives designed to increase the efficiency and speed of asset/drug candidate development
- Drives Asset Team decisions and schedule adherence. Constructively escalates issues and decisions to Asset Leads and Head of Program Management
- Collaborates, as necessary, with Asset sub-team leads
- Aggregate information to enable Asset Level prioritization discussions
- Consult with supervisor, asset leaders, and functional area leads to support strategic direction, prioritization, and scientific ideas as needed
- Makes schedule contingencies visible and develop assessment of contingency trade-offs to enable decisions on optimal path forward
Who You Are
You have an understanding of the drug development process. You also have knowledge of program and project management techniques, best practices, and their application. You have the ability and desire to work in a matrix organization, driving improvement across functions.
Qualifications
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree with 3-6 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of program and project management principles
Preferred Skills
- Leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt communications to the audience
