About this role

The Manager, Testing Center of Excellence must have prior experience working with the stakeholders to drive the QA programs delivery for both GxP and non GxP projects and programs. The candidate must have experience in handling testing for agile programs. The successful candidate must have experience leading teams consisting of both functional and automated testing. The candidate must possess the knowledge of performance and security testing and how best to apply them. Should have experience in testing COTS packages and have experience in formulating test strategy/approach. The candidate should have experience working with life sciences industry and should have knowledge of 21 CFR part 11 computer systems validation. Manage testing resources, scheduling and tasks across one or business unit portfolios. Understand key dependencies across testing projects and programs in the assigned portfolio(s) to ensure that there are no scheduling risks.  Should ensure bringing in best practices and testing efficiencies across these portfolios

What you’ll do

· Responsible for driving multiple testing projects across the portfolio(s) and ensuring the seamless testing delivery

· Manage and mentor team(s) of Quality Assurance Leads and Analysts, including outsourced MSP partner resources, across multiple geographic locations

· Work closely with partner outsource managed service provider

· Manage the creation and development of program specific test strategies, schedules, and resources

· Responsible for ensuring that the testing team follows the testing process per the

· Defined IT controls

· Work with the project stakeholders to identify the Testing scope and provide testing estimates

· Identify the upstream and downstream testing dependencies for the project /program within a portfolio

· Develop and maintain resource plans. Coordinate resource/staffing plans with the various stakeholders.

· Define and Track the TCOE testing metrics 

· Review the testing metrics within the portfolios on a periodic basis to enable decision making

· Make appropriate adjustments to the testing approach and staffing for the testing activities within the projects and programs within the portfolio

· Work with the stakeholders to constantly identify opportunities for improvement through; Test Automation, Re-usable testing assets, process compliance to ensure defect free deployments.

· Engage with any new stakeholders in articulating the TCOE value through service catalog.

· Participate in SDLC documentation review with IT Quality team for GxP applications.

· Identify new technology and tools that can be applied to testing of applications and business processes.

Who you are

The Testing center of Excellence Lead (TCOE Manager) will lead moderate to complex testing projects and programs supporting the business functions. The candidate must be a self-starter and possess the drive required to meet the needs of a demanding environment.

Required Skills

· BA/BS in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience.

· At least 5-8 years as a QA Manager

· Experience leading teams of 10+ team members across one or more projects in different time zones

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and should have the ability to solve complex problem

· Should possess excellent verbal and written communication. Ability to articulate and communicate concisely and crisply

· Ability to multitask and shift gears quickly, work independently and collaboratively, adapt easily to shifting priorities, process changes and schedule changes

· Proven experience in appropriately leveraging test automation, performance and security testing

· Experience applying industry-leading test tools like Selenium, UFT, Appium, TestNG, Junit, Mocha, Jasmine, JMeter, LoadRunner.

· Strong experience delivering software testing in an agile development environment
