Remote location will be considered for this role, with Cambridge, MA preferred.
The MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Franchise lead will work across all MS PDC (Product Development & Commercialization) teams and report directly to the Global Head of MS.
The MS Franchise Lead works extensively with other commercial, value & access, research and development, manufacturing and supply, medical affairs, business development, regulatory, corporate affairs, and regional/affiliate teams to advance the overall MS portfolio. This individual will be operating in a truly global and highly matrixed environment.
This is an exceptional role providing enterprise-wide engagement and visibility to senior management. The role is based in our Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA Headquarters.
What will you Do?
• Lead the annual Disease Area Strategic Planning (DASP) process across the MS Franchise in partnership with the commercial, medical, and R&D teams.
• Partner with the business development organization regarding activities and due diligence efforts that pertain to MS
• Lead the MS Therapeutic Area Council (TAC) which is responsible for near-term cross-functional strategy
• Drive and coordinate Lifecycle Management (LCM) efforts across the MS portfolio, in partnership with MS PDC Leads
• Support the Integrated Customer Plan (ICP) process in partnership with the CE&O organization
• Own and maintain the MS PDC Dashboard
• Prepare CEO and Board of Directors (BoD) memos
• Leads the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process and budgeting across MS PDC teams, in strong partnership with Finance
• Be a strategic thought partner with Biogen Digital Health, to further enhance our digital footprint in MS
Qualifications

You are a strategic commercial executive who is experienced working in both global, regional and affiliate settings. You understand the complexities of a local/regional/global model and can balance both short term initiatives and longer-term value creating opportunities.
You are comfortable working in cross functional organizations with high international exposure. You understand the complexities and nuisances of different markets and can articulate those challenges in an effective manner to internal stakeholders. You have strong organizational and project management skills and can distill complex strategic initiatives into tactical next steps. Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to lead cross functional teams are necessary.
You are an experienced commercial leader who is comfortable managing multiple priorities across products and programs. You actively seek out continuous improvement opportunities, and appreciate being challenged, and want to make an impact. Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience in progressively responsible roles in commercial roles
- Must be a self-motivated and self-confident individual who is comfortable operating with minimal direction and who thrives in a dynamic environment
- Ability to build credibility among senior management and peers to gain commitment and support for major initiatives while placing company’s interests first
- An individual of unquestioned personal and business integrity who will be viewed as trustworthy both within the company and externally
- Mission-driven individual who works toward both individual and team goals
- Capable of rolling up one’s sleeves to do whatever it takes to drive results; not hindered by protocol or process
- Ability to travel as needed
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. Advanced degree a plus
