About This Role  

This role supports patient access, free goods and reimbursement strategy, vendor management, and operational execution. You will survey the access landscape for innovative patient access strategies and programs, develop cost analysis, while ensuring program and vendor adherence to Biogen policy and strategy. You will also identify areas of opportunity within these programs to ensure optimal performance and best customer experience possible. In addition to the above you will be expected to manage reporting needs, provide regular readouts of all activities within your program. This role will support the above-described activities for the entire suite of patient services supported therapies at Biogen.  

What You’ll Do  
•    Develop and maintain policies for all Reimbursement Services, Financial Assistance Programs, and No Charge Product programs to allow for continuous business process improvement and ensure organizational compliance. 
•    Manage all Free Drug Initiatives, including annual Medicare FDP assessment, Open Enrollment, Commercial Eligibility and Free Drug audits.  
•    Analyze the overall effectiveness of all Free Drug initiatives and regularly make recommendations on how we can improve and enhance our processes 
•    Conduct and provide meaningful analysis to the organization on issues relative to Patient Access Strategy to allow informed business decisions to be made. 
•    Monitor effectiveness of reimbursement program partners and tactics  
•    Collaborate with various corporate departments to align Patient Access Strategy to various organizational or brand goals. Create measures of success and report results. 
•    Ensure that all program activities and strategic decisions remain compliant with applicable laws, regulations, Biogen policies and procedures  
•    Lead strategic and technical conversation for continuous improvement and development of Patient Assistance Program(PAP) and reimbursement programs  
•    Ensure program data integrity and overall partner performance adheres to outlined contract and KPIs 
•    Review, audit, and select vendors for strategic advancement of the program.

•     5+ years Commercial Life Sciences experience, 5+ years of Reimbursement and Financial Assistance experience, and Leadership experience is strongly preferred. 
•    Apply critical thinking and objectivity in assessing portfolio & corporate strategic challenges, quickly analyzing data and driving towards actionable recommendations. 
•    Passion for problem solving, strategic perspective and strong analytical critical thinking skills, including the ability to interpret and synthesize information from across multiple sources. 
•     Leadership qualities, previous experience leading people, and collaborative work style with the ability to work effectively with and influence individuals across a wide array of functions and levels in the organization. 
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
•    Strong presentation skills, knowledge of business protocol, time management and organizational skills. 
•    Ability to coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously. 

Education:  
•    Bachelor’s Degree preferred 
•    MBA/MPH/MHA a plus
