About this role
This position provides an opportunity to help transform technology across the Global Finance Organization. As a Financial Systems Solution Architect, this person will focus on developing strong understanding of business processes and apply this knowledge to create well designed and effectively implement solutions/capabilities leveraging various technologies. This position is for an experienced, motivated individual ready to partner and drive change across a diverse set of processes and technologies.
What you’ll do
- Work collaboratively with business and IT stakeholders to deliver and support technology-oriented solutions that align with the strategic business direction
- Partner with business, technical development, app admin teams for GAP analysis, business requirements, technical development, patch application and ensuring successful delivery of Finance projects
- Ensure processes are continuously followed and refined to maintain stability - execute all activities following organizational controls and processes (i.e. software development life-cycle (SDLC), change management, etc)
- Establish yourself as a trusted business partner who can represent the business needs of specific functions within the Procurement organization
- Advise to management on business opportunities enabled through technology
- Stay abreast of best practices and new technologies across Finance business processes
Job Description
- Minimum of 6 years of experience working hands-on delivering efforts involving Oracle EBS Finance modules and/or other Financial Technologies 6+ years IT/Industry Experience.
- Functional Experience with the following technologies preferred: MarkView, Aravo, Determine, Scout RFP, Coupa, several Oracle EBS (R12) finance modules (including Accounts Payables, Purchasing, iProcurement, AGIS, Accounts Receivables, iExpense, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, Project Accounting, OPM Costing)
- Oracle SQL knowledge
- Integration experience, using APIs & XML templates
- Has the ability to work with users of all levels to identify requirements and deliver timely results
- Ability to analyze business processes and translate business needs into requirements and solution design documents. Must be able to resolve business process gaps using standard software functionality
- Ability to explain complex technology in simple ways
- Strong understanding of information systems, business processes and measures of success
- Proven commitment to customer care, system availability, reliability and issue resolution. This can include off-hours and on-call support to resolve system incidents
- Analytical/Creative Problem Solving
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Six Sigma experience desired
- Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle desired
- Ability to quickly understand/learn technical solutions and provide hands-on support
- Track record of delivering successful technology-based solutions that achieve measurable business results
- An understanding of global finance and procurement tools and technology
- Experience with SaaS providers and technologies (implementation, support, vendor management)
- Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritize work, and balance priorities with the ability to achieve positive results
- Awareness of process controls and regulations including SOX and GXP
- Flexibility to work independently as well as collaborate on a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience in the life-sciences/biotech space is preferred
Education
- University degree required; a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, or related field of study is preferred.
