Job Description

The Global Medical Information (GMI) Manager/Senior Manager is a fully remote position committed to providing accurate and timely scientific information about Biogen products in the Multiple Sclerosis (MS) therapeutic area. They serve as the subject matter expert and collaborate with the MS medical team to generate strategic Medical Information (MI) content used by the MI and MSL teams to engage HCPs. The GMI Manager/Senior Manager supports and advises the MI contact center and MI global affiliates on MI processes and inquiry handling for Biogen MS products. Our aim is to empower the healthcare community to make evidence-based, individualized treatment decisions to improve care, and ultimately the lives of MS patients.

What You’ll Do

· Provide high quality responses to unsolicited MI inquiries from HCPs and non-HCPs

· Develop, update, and review written standard response letters and custom responses

· Support MI contact center and MSLs in the handling of complex MI inquiries

· Ensure adverse event or product complaint reporting by all MI intake channels

· Train internal/external stakeholders on MI content and processes

· Monitor quality and accuracy of MI responses for compliance with regulations and SOPs

· Engage in continuous improvement of MI processes and deliverables

· Identify and communicate trends and actionable insights to stakeholders

· Serves as ambassador to support global MI affiliates in assigned countries

· Ensure and support audit readiness at all times

Who You Are

The successful candidate has strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple activities at the same time. They are highly collaborative, an effective communicator, and have excellent medical writing skills. An advanced degree in the medical field (e.g., PharmD, Ph.D., DNP) is required.

Qualifications

 

  • 3+ years of medical information or related medical affairs experience
  • Medical writing experience
  • Advanced clinical/scientific training required. 
  • PharmD/PhD/DNP/MD required. (terminal degree)
  • Prior industry experience creating MI content and global MI experience is preferred
  • Excellent teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to manage through a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
  • Record of delivering on commitments
  • Understand and adhere to regulatory policies governing HCP and non-HCP interactions
  • Proficiency in English required, second language capability desirable
  • Up to 15% travel
