Job Description

This application is for a 12-week internship role from June - August 2022. This role can be either hybrid or remote.

Biogen’s Human Resources team is a global organization that supports over 9,000 employees across the world. In this internship, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the Chief of Staff for the Chief Human Resources Officer on a critical knowledge management project that will ensure HR teams at Biogen have access to the necessary information to conduct their work, work collaboratively, and operate efficiently.

Position Description

As an Intern on the Human Resources Portfolio team, you will:

  • Participate and lead requirements gathering sessions across Human Resources to identify important considerations for the redesign of our knowledge management platform (OneHR Sharepoint Site).
  • Synthetize feedback from HR teams identifying common trends and themes that will inform the project deliverables.
  • Research and benchmark best practices in knowledge management and information design.
  • Propose options and execute upon design solutions based upon both requirements gathered and best practices identified.
  • Have the opportunity to work across the global HR team, learn about the different HR centers of excellence, and how enterprise HR teams operate.

Qualifications

  • Interest in Human Resource Management and a desire to lean about enterprise HR.
  • Excellent organizational skills and abilities, specifically digital organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Sharepoint or similar experience is a plus.
  • Technical literacy – ability to learn new systems and processes.
  • Strong project management abilities with an eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills, and ability to facilitate discussions and ask questions to keep the conversation moving.

To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
  • Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s student seeking a degree in Human Resource Management, Information Design, Business Administration, Communications, Project Management, or another related discipline.
