Job Description

The Senior Specialist, Financial Transparency supports the company’s compliance with global requirements for financial transparency related to research payments and ongoing process improvements and implementation of best practices to optimize the management (i.e., operational consistency, compliance, quality, and efficiency) of the Biogen Financial Transparency process.

Due to the variance in country requirements, the Senior Specialist, Financial Transparency, will understand the commonalities and differences in requirements, identify opportunities for continuous process improvements, and focus on ways in which we can facilitate the process to avoid inefficiencies and increase data quality to protect Biogen against legal claim, fines, and damage to the company’s public image.

What you'll Do:  

  • Collaborate both within the Global Clinical Operations group as well as with external stakeholders to ensure optimization of the financial transparency reporting process. 
  • Support the development and maintenance of all processes and guidelines along with CRO relationship management with a specific focus on financial transparency activities. 
  • Participate in the oversight of multiple CROs’ data quality and accuracy.
  • Influence the financial transparency review process, addressing compliance gaps, and in identifying areas for continuous process improvements. 
  • Build relationships with the US and Global transparency teams to address issues and develop agreed resolutions.
  • Provide quarterly financial data reviews of all global CROs submitted transparency data, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Assist in the management and maintenance of the global clinical reference data (CRD).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree  
  • 4+ year’s pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry experience within the financial transparency operations space or relevant experience
  • Strong proficient in data analysis and reporting
  • Demonstrated success in working cross-functionally in a global matrix organization
  • 4+ years’ experience in managing or supporting global cross-functional processes
  • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize needs and handle a high volume of tasks within a given timeframe
  • Teamwork & collaboration skills; invites input and listens effectively
