Job Description

The Senior Manager - Decision Analytics position is responsible for working with users and key stakeholders across R&D to build and deliver robust reporting capabilities that will enable decision making at various levels of the organization. In this role, you will be working directly with teams across R&D functional areas and programs, as well as Regulatory, Finance, and Pharma Operations & Technology.

You will be exposed to many different types of data and technology.  This is a great position for someone who wants to be exposed to the use of advanced analytics and reporting tools in a corporate environment.  The Work will directly influence multiple business processes and will drive both long and short-term decisions across Biogen.  As part of the Pipeline Decision Analytics team, you will be a key player in enabling the Clarity (PPM tool) data delivery and reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate with be a confident public speaker, called on regularly to present and articulate the results of the analysis.

Other responsibilities include:

· Working with users to define requirements and then translating those requirements into actionable analytical solutions and reporting tools

· Working with Accenture development team to build and manage all Tableau dashboards

· Developing and distributing ready to consume reports and data sets by pre-determined frequencies

· Responding to recurring and ad hoc data requests

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Life Sciences, Biology/Biotech. Master’s in a technical discipline or MBA is preferred.

· 5+ years experience in Biotech

· Knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Tableau and data analytics.

· Proficient understanding of R&D Operations & Portfolio Management

· Experience working with PPM tools (Clarity), data integrations and reporting capabilities

· Proficient in developing briefing content for various levels of audience.

· Ability to present analytical data and strategic ideas in a clear, concise manner

· Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills with ability to build trusting relationships and buy-in to drive results.

· Comfort in managing multiple priorities that range in scope from high level strategic initiatives to data cleaning

· Flexibility and willingness to change course, innovate toward new methods

· A relentless drive to seek out feedback and incorporate into an effort to improve both your understanding and related work products.

· A strong entrepreneurial mindset when it comes to your own learning path. You’re comfortable identifying what you know and have yet to learn, and actively work to close gaps in your knowledge and skill set.
