Job Description

The Senior Product Manager, Portfolio Customer Marketing role is essential to the success of the MS busines. This role will report to the Director, KME Engagement and work cross functionally to lead the MS Congress Strategy, National and Field Sponsorships and Speaker Training Meeting execution. The focus of this role will be on the development and implementation of Portfolio Strategic Initiatives with a strong understanding of the competitive landscape via market research, analytics, and insights. Understanding and connecting all that we do to the knowledge learned from our Medical Experts and Patients to drive innovation and discover opportunities.

 

The SPM will work cross-functionally, with the following internal teams:

· Corporate Meetings and Congress team, and related operational functions

· Grants and Sponsorship

· Neurology Focused Professional Societies (AAN, CMSC, ECTRIMS, ACTRIMS, etc.)

· Compliance, Legal and Regulatory

· PRC

· Key Account Management team

· Various other internal and external stakeholders to successfully lead marketing initiatives

· Medical Affairs (as appropriate)

 

Senior Product Manager, Portfolio Customer Marketing and Initiatives

 

ICP Planning and Strategy

· ICP lead for annual congress strategic planning which incorporates Key Medical Expert (KME) engagements led by Director of KME Engagement

· Drive overarching portfolio focused CAPE plan

• Advisory Boards

• Speaker Training

• Speaker Programming Plan

• Patient and HCP Customer Engagement Plan

• Collaborate with cross functional partners on KME Engagement plan for specific initiatives

 

National and Local Congresses

· US MS congress strategic lead for US MS Marketing and cross functional partners within the organization; provide regular congress updates to Senior Leadership

• As strategic lead for all MS focused professional societies (identify appropriate sponsorship opportunities, represent Biogen at corporate council meetings). The SPM will work in collaboration with CMC to ensure all decisions are aligned to our strategic priorities

• Drive MS portfolio strategic presence at national and local congresses and shape key strategic marketing choices for the MS brands (ACTRIMS, AAN, CSMC, FALL AAN and potentially others)

• In partnership with brand leads, develop portfolio-focused booth, exhibit, and sponsorship assets

• In partnership with Corporate Meetings and Congresses (CMC) and KME Engagement evaluate congress vendors, ensure effective use of resources, and provide direction on the overall execution of conference plans inclusive of the following:

• Hotel selection, F&B, budget, etc.

• Meeting space and location

• Develop, maintain, and distribute a US MS congress progress dashboard (which summarizes cross-functional and logistical components of each congress/meeting)

• Key member and contributor to the global congress strategy team

• Ensure appropriate internal team meetings are included in all meeting touchpoints

• Develop plan to measure impact and success of commercial presence at congress events

• Presentations to USOC, USLT, and global leadership to drive awareness of progress and strategic plan for commercial presence

 

Speaker Training with oversight by Director/AD KME Engagement

• Lead Speaker Training strategy for the MS Portfolio (patient and HCP)

• Obtain cross functional Alignment

• In partnership with CMC, identify digital and live platforms and agencies

• Develop and maintain the project plan, pre- and post-communication plan, and lead the overall initiatives and cross functional working team

 

Marketing Initiatives & Communications

• Strategize and lead the communication plans for the field teams, including coordination of all field facing tactics, related to both speaker training and local, regional, and national conferences

• Collaborate cross-functionally in the development of all leadership communication plans to both external and internal audiences related to speaker training, congress, or MS initiatives

• Maintain yearly Integrated Customer Plan for the MS Brand Team, Attend all meetings

Qualifications

· Prior Pharmaceutical Experience (5+years)

· Direct Pharma Marketing context (3+) preferred

· Experience working with, Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Promotional Review (PRC) submission process

· Experience presenting strategic plans to leadership

· Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  Demonstrated ability to form strong networks both internally & externally

· Understanding of and adherence to regulatory policies governing scientific interactions with physicians, Patient Access Groups, professional and public organizations

· Ability to manage through ambiguity, influence without authority, and comfort working in highly dynamic environment with shifting priorities

· Excellent organizational skills

· Agility and ability to adapt and function in a fast-paced environment

· Demonstrated ability to manage matrix stakeholders in a complex environment
