Currently, the US BBU team is looking for a Region Director, US BBU, to lead a team responsible for contributing toward our vision of being a leader in US Biosimilars.

Job Description
About this Role
As the Regional Business Director, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to Area Business Managers (ABMs) to meet or exceed performance objectives. This is accomplished through strategic business planning, leveraging market/customer insights, building high-performing teams, influencing the broader organization, strong collaboration with cross-functional partners within Biogen and external stakeholders.
This Territory will cover CA, NV, AZ, CO, UT, NM, West TX. The successful candidate must live within the boundaries of the territory and the preferred location will be in AZ, CO or CA.

What You’ll Do
- Achieve annual sales goals of the US BBU portfolio and be responsible for recruiting, hiring, training and developing Area Business Managers (ABMs)Coach ABMs in all aspects of job performance establish individual and regional goals and strategies to drive results for the Business Unit and Franchise
- Establish and maintain effective regional communications
- Responsible for all aspects of performance management within the region, retention of top talent and managing performance of low performers
- Participate in development and implementation of national sales strategy and tactics
- Key stakeholder and partner of HQ teams (marketing, market access, operations)
- Analysis of trends, development of Region insights to improve performance
- Leader in change agility and change management
- Responsible compensation planning including salary adjustments, merit increases, promotions, etc.
- Responsible for strategic investment of budget based on regional potential
- Plan and execute Regional Sales Meetings to focus team’s execution and impact with customers
- Build a positive, cohesive culture across the Region, serving as a role model for ABMs. Identifies opportunities to enhance culture in day-to-day activities. Builds credible internal/external relationships that foster diverse thinking with a strategic focus.
- Focuses energy and strategy around patient benefit and a positive, reiterative customer experience.
- Successfully launch multiple assets in diverse marketplaces in an evolving biosimilar marketplace

Required Skills
- BS/BA Required, MBA Preferred
- 5-10+ years sales management experience (or equivalent) in pharmaceuticals / biotech industry, specialty distribution experience preferred. Functional experience in other commercial areas preferred.
- Immunology sales experience or knowledge of the immunology market strongly preferred
- Ophthalmology Sales Experience or knowledge of the ophthalmology market strongly preferred
- Proven successful track record of consistent high performance / delivering strong and consistent results
- Launch experience in the immunology, biologic marketplace strongly preferred
- Buy & Bill reimbursement experience, demonstrating ability to drive successful goal attainment essential
- Conducts strategic business planning through anticipating market changes, understanding market insights / customer insights. Proactively plan to maximize market opportunity.
- Exhibit a strong degree of technical expertise, product and market knowledge and business acumen
- Developer of emerging leaders and functional experts; Demonstrate strong coaching and counseling skills and judgement, to prepare individuals for future positions
