Job Summary

The Marketing Associate plays an integral role in providing multi-channel engagement support to the Commercial and Medical teams across all products and brands, independently managing brand projects to help execute on overall brand strategies. The Marketing Associate will collate, manage, and analyse large data sets to identify and evidence ideas and innovations for Biogen’s customer engagement strategy, and suggest multi-channel engagements that enhance customer engagement and brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Key accountabilities in this role include:

  • Providing multi-channel marketing knowledge and support to influence design of customer strategies
  • Suggesting multi-channel customer engagement strategies to enhance customer engagement, utilising data and insights to provide a compelling rationale to brand managers to execute on these ideas
  • Identifying success factors / metrics, and analyse results against these, to adjust strategies and learn from experiences
  • Supporting the Strategy and Operations team to execute and drive a range of digital initiatives
  • Identifying opportunities for digital and multi-channel engagements across all products and brands
  • Supporting the ICP process to ensure appropriate multi-channel engagement across all customer groups, leveraging data to suggest new or alternate initiatives
  • Providing support with external market research and insights
  • Managing ICP projects, to support the execution of overall brand strategies
  • Assessing outcomes from brand projects, e.g. analyse reach, impact, and ROI on project investments
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of all Biogen products and brands
  • Providing operational support where required to brand managers
  • Collating, managing, and analysing large amounts of customer and engagement data

  • Identifying required data and data formats, accessing and cleaning available data, and suggesting collection of new data where required

This is an individual contributor role that will engage and work together with the Digital Engagement Lead, the Medical and Commercial Team and other members of the ANZ Affiliate to define and execute on regional and local initiatives as well as the transformational goal of business excellence and providing differentiated customer experiences.

In summary, this is a hands-on role that will equip Biogen ANZ with the digital/multi-channel expertise to better plan for and engage customers, patients, and other key stakeholders that will directly impact Biogen’s ability to enhance revenue.

Qualifications

Qualifications

To demonstrate success in this role you will have at least 2 years marketing experience, ideally from a similar role from an organisation within a regulated industry (banking, finance, insurance etc). Pharmaceutical experience is desirable but not essential.

Along with a degree or diploma in Marketing, Multi-Channel Engagement, Digital Engagement, or similar, you will also possess the following:

  • Digital marketing proficiency  
  • Exceptional people skills and the ability to develop and foster excellent working relationships
  • Problem solving and decision making within remit of accountability
  • Effectively prioritise competing priorities and manage internal stakeholder engagement
  • Requirement to build relationships and effectively advocate for marketing and multi-channel engagements across all levels of the affiliate
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in an agile manner
  • In-depth understanding of multi-channel engagement
  • Data analytics and insights to drive decision making
  • Customer segmentation and journey mapping
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience desirable but not essential
