Overall objective of job:

• The Value & Access Manager will build a sustainable relationship and develop strategic platform with healthcare authorities in Northern China including government sector, agencies and patient groups
• The Value & Access Manager will explore and capture the reimbursement opportunities at city or provincial level to maximize patient access to Spinraza and future products of Biogen

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Develop the regional market access strategy for Spinraza and new products of Biogen and align the strategy with cross-functions to maximize patient access
• Build up strong relationship with regional payers/policy advocators/government sectors on rare disease and healthy aging, and develop and lead strategic program with the authorities or agency to achieve favorable policy environment for Biogen medicines
• Lead cross-functional team to explore new reimbursement opportunities and initiate negotiation with local payers/policy makers at city or provincial level for rare disease medicines in western regions
• Provide policy analysis and insight to support business decisions effectively and work closely with other functions, Marketing/Sales and Medical Affairs team to deliver good business result and patient benefit

Essential knowledge and skills:

• Bachelor‘s degree or above (pharmaceutical or medical education background is preferred)
• A minimum of five (5) years of biotechnology or pharmaceutical experience in market access role (rare disease area is preferred)
• Excel & Power point in Microsoft Office software
